Yoga marketing sucks.
Yoga is not an elite activity reserved for stay at home moms, the elderly, or those rehabilitating an injury. Yoga is an ancient system of living that when pursued will lead students to bliss. For some (very strange) reason, yoga is marketed as a rehabilitative activity available only to affluent stay at home parents or corporate balls of anxious stress. This is opposite of the core principles of yoga. Available to all. All humans. All bodies.
Yoga means union. To unite. It does not mean to be flexible, or stretchy, impressively balanced or even to be relaxed. It has nothing to do with expensive clothing and complicated props.
Yoga means union. To unite. To “join together” to “yoke”. To bring the physical body, and the mind (consciousness) and the subtle body and sub(tle) consciousness together as one.
Yoga is not an elite activity reserved for stay at home moms, the elderly, or those rehabilitating an injury. Yoga is an ancient system of living that when pursued promises inner peace, calm and tranquility.
I believe this ancient system of living should be MORE accessible to all people. Inclusive, affordable, accessible.
